x Die Kino-Installation "Solo City Zhuhai (CHINAKINO)" übernimmt die 'typische' Dekoration deutscher China-Restaurants und verbindet sie mit einem Blick auf die neuere, chinesische Grossarchitektur. In diesem 'China-Deko-Kino' wird ein 10-minütiger Film als Loop präsentiert. Der Film enthält inszenierte Aufnahmen vor den 'Kulissen' der Campus-Architektur der Beijing Normal University (Zhuhai). Der Campus in Zhuhai ist mit 3,5 km² einer der größten, neuen Campus Chinas. "Solo City Zhuhai (BNURGB)" ist eine ortsspezifische Arbeit, die das direkt an die Galerieräume der Galerie M Berlin angrenzende China-Restaurant 'Neu Wuzhou' durch eine Fensterwand und Verbindungstür in die Ausstellung einbindet. xThe cinematic installation "Solo City Zhuhai (CHINACINEMA)" takes the “typical” décor of Chinese restaurants in Germany and juxtaposes it with views of recent, large-scale architecture in China. This “Chinese décor cinema” presents a 10-minute video as a loop. The video includes staged scenes utilizing the “backdrops” provided by the campus architecture of the Beijing Normal University (Zhuhai). At 3.5 km², the Zhuhai campus is one of the largest new campuses in China. “Solo City Zhuhai (CHINACINEMA)” is a site-specific work utilizing a glass wall and connecting door that lead to the Chinese restaurant “Neu Wuzhou” (right next to the Galerie M), thus integrating it into the installation. |
